Overview
The Melbourne Research Fellowships (Career Interruptions) Program enables eligible researchers to enhance or re-establish their academic careers where they have been significantly interrupted, delayed or otherwise constrained by chronic illness, child rearing or other caring duties.
Successful applicants will receive $60,000 (oncosts inclusive) plus $20,000 for travel or research support, including small equipment purchases.
The amount requested for salary must be matched 1:1 by the host faculty.
To be eligible for this scheme, potential candidates must have completed a PhD degree in their field three to ten years prior to application.
Academic staff already employed by UoM, but not in a continuing position, are eligible to apply.
