Research Grant Support Scheme (‘Near-Miss’)
Overview
IMPORTANT NOTICE
As of 2015, administration of the Research Grant Support Scheme (‘Near-Miss’) has been devolved to the Faculty/School level.
The Research Grant Support Scheme intends to support researchers whose applications were highly ranked but unsuccessful in the major ARC and NHMRC rounds. Faculties/Schools will invite eligible researchers to apply, based on the following criteria and advice from the relevant Associate Dean (Research):
- Top 25% of unsuccessful ARC project applicants (Discovery and Linkage schemes only)
- Top quartile (bands 1&2) in tier 5 of unsuccessful NHMRC grant applicants (Project and Development and Partnership schemes only)
All applications must be submitted via the Themis Grants Submission Workbench by the due date(s) below (instructions may be found at https://themis.unimelb.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0007/866545/rc_create_grant.pdf).
