FAQ iLab submission
-
iLab system is an online request submission portal that allows users to view available instruments and testing services, submit requests, receive quote.
-
A user will be required to sign up. After signing up, please click "Request submission" tab, then click Soil Node Analytical Requests.
-
Please contact your supervisor as they may not register their account in iLab, or they have not allocated an account to their member ("you").
-
All University of Melbourne internal users must use iLab to view pricing and submit analysis requests.
FAQ Testing services
-
The Soil Node operates on a fee-for-service model. Unfortunately we are not able to offer trainings at this stage.
-
Each analysis has specific sample matrix requirements. For instance, mineral nitrogen analysis requires a liquid matrix, and extractions must be completed by the user. Most analyses do not include sample preparation services.
-
No reference materials are required. We include Certified Reference Materials (CRM) and Laboratory Reference Materials (LRM) in each batch for internal QA/QC purposes, though these are not reported in your results.
-
Please follow these labelling guidelines:
(1) Use numeric IDs only (e.g., 1, 2, 3…) for all samples in a job; (2) Place samples in racks or suitable containers in a sequential order; (3) Use Request ID and your username on each batch for identification; (4) Apply clear and sensible labelling to facilitate efficient sample loading.
