Riguku X-ray Crystallography

Single crystal X-ray diffractometers are able to measure diffraction data from crystals which allows the very accurate determination of molecular structure.

The state-of-the-art instrument, Rigaku (Oxford Diffraction) Synergy, has a dual radiation sources. The older instrument is an Oxford Diffraction SuperNova also with dual source radiation sources (Cu and Mo). Both instruments are fitted with Oxford Cryostream coolers which allows data collection to be measure between 100 and 400 K.

Access

Users are required to submit the training request via iLab booking system and attend the induction and training. All future measurements will be planned in collaboration with Prof Brendan Abrahams, with trained users having access to Assisted Use. Advanced users will be able to independently book Self Use measurement time which will require approval.
