Multivariate statistics, ‘omics data integration, feature selection, microbiome, computational statistical learning, R software

My research embraces a multidisciplinary approach, focussing on mathematical and statistical modelling of diverse and large biological datasets to gain new insights into the molecular mechanisms regulating biological processes. My main research focus is on variable selection and integration of biological data (‘omics’ data, including icrobiome) coming from different sources and functional levels by the means of multivariate dimension reduction approaches. Since 2009, my team has been working the development of the extensive mixOmics R toolkit dedicated to the integrative analysis of `omics' data, to help researchers make sense of biological big data (http://www.mixOmics.org).
