Prof Murray Cox visiting Irene & MIG in 2019

Miegunyah Distinguished Visiting Fellowship Program 2019 success

Irene Gallego Romero (MIG Group Leader) has secured funding to support a visit by Professor Murray Cox from New Zealand in early 2019. Professor Cox is an international leader in computational biology, based at Massey University in the Institute of Fundamental Sciences.  

Professor Cox's group is interested in the interface between biology, statistics and computer science, especially where large genetic datasets can be applied to address questions of outstanding biological importance.

There will be ample opportunity for the computational biology community to engage and meet with Murray, when he will be hosted by Melbourne Integrative Genomics (MIG).

We look forward to having Professor Cox visit MIG early next year, well done Irene!
