Nationwide survey

Connecting Schools + Communities Survey

First of its kind in Australia, our nationwide survey explored how and why schools share their facilities with their community – or why they don't – and what impact this has. With approval from jurisdictional authorities, we distributed the optional survey via email between September 2021 and August 2022. More than 600 Australian school principals and other school leaders responded from:

  • every Australian state and territory
  • government, independent and Catholic schools
  • remote locations to capital cities
  • primary, secondary, combined, and special schools, and schools offering early childhood
    to adult education
  • schools with 50 to 2000+ students.

We will publish our findings in 2023.
