Grant Success for Stephen Leslie and Ashley Farlow
Indigenous Australian reference genome
Stephen Leslie and Ashley Farlow were successful in the last NHMRC Project Grant Round in a joint application with Professor Simon Easteal, Director of the National Centre for Indigenous Genomics (NCIG) at the Australian National University, Dr Misty Jenkins (The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research) and Associate Professor Gareth Baynam (King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women, WA).
They have received $1.4 million in funding to establish an Indigenous Australian reference genome (the NCIGrg), using advanced genome sequencing technologies and data analytics.
