Sarah Bond

Sarah Bond is a Centre Fellow and most recently the Director of Asialink Arts at the University of Melbourne. During the past decade, Sarah has produced over 40 key visual art projects for presentation in 14 countries including Australia, Asia and New Zealand. Building on her expertise in transcultural contemporary art, she has curated numerous international exhibitions and including the Kuandu Biennale 2012 and collaborated with some of Asia’s major Biennales (including the Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh, Gwangju, Kochi-Muzuris, Kuandu and Jakarta biennales). Her success in exposing Australian art internationally has been extensive, reaching audiences in the hundreds of thousands. She was awarded a Research/Travelling Fellowship from the Gordon Darling Foundation and undertaken residencies at The Duldig Studio in Melbourne, Objectspace (Auckland) and The Dowse Museum (Wellington). Sarah contributes to various art journals, presents guest lectures, and has been an advisor on selection boards for federal and state government agencies and organisations since 1998, including the Australia Council for the Arts, Creative Victoria, City of Melbourne, The South Project and Craft Victoria. She is currently the Chairs NETS (Victoria - National Exhibition Touring Services).
