Simone Slee is a Senior Lecturer and Research Convenor at the Victorian College of the Arts and a practising artist. She produces installations, photographs, videos and sculptural objects that often engage the body and have a performance potential.She has exhibited nationally and internationally, most recently she completed an artist in residence at Berlin Glas e.V., Berlin, representing Australia in the Australia Now - Germany 2017 DFAT celebration of culture and has had solo representations of her work at: Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) (2016), the Margaret Lawrence Gallery, VCA (2015). Other recent solo exhibitions include: Hold UP, (2013), Sarah Scout Presents, Melbourne and in 2012 she represented Sarah Scout with a solo exhibition, How long, at the India Art Fair, New Delhi, India. Her project On, (a series of bill boards) was showcased as one of the key Visual Arts Program projects by curator Juliana Engberg, in the 2003 Melbourne International Festival and was concurrently included in the Orifice exhibition at ACCA.
