Ariana Dickey

Research Assistant

Biography

Ariana Dickey is a Research Fellow in Urban Sustainability at the Connected Cities Lab whose current research focuses on nature in cities and on accelerating clean energy innovation and implementation. She holds a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Columbia University. Her Masters thesis examined how experimentation can accelerate sustainability transitions using a Melbourne-based waste management case study.

Previously, she worked in New York City as the digital media coordinator at an international contemporary art gallery, where she managed a variety of projects with a particular focus on digital transformation.

In addition to urban sustainability, Ariana’s research interests include nature-based solutions in cities of the Global South and planning with First Nation’s people.
