Research Assistant in Green Urbanisation

Biography

Jinlong (Jimmy) Liu holds a PhD in land use and environmental planning from the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning. His PhD research focused on modelling cultural ecosystem services provided by urban green spaces, with a case study in the City of Melbourne.

Jinlong Liu is interested in reconnecting human beings with nature in the built environment. His transdisciplinary research entails a wide collaboration with Melbourne School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences and Melbourne School of Population & Global Health. He also worked as a research assistant in Analysis & Policy Observatory (Swinburne University of Technology) and a GIS analyst in Peking University (China).

His current project investigates the characters of climate urbanism, manifested as Eco-districts in the United States.
